Cast iron rings for mine shafts
DTS produces any grade ductile iron lining plates designed for use in structural support systems in underground mining and transportation applications. Castings undergo testing to guarantee a maximum wall thickness of 130 mm with specified structural requirements. DTS has completed orders for cast iron lining plates and supplies for mine building operations in the Russian Federation (Alrosa, Gaiskiy GOK, Norilsk Nickel, Apatity, Rostov), Kazakhstan (Donskoy GOK), and Poland. At present (as of February 2012) we are manufacturing 7,0-120 mine shaft lining rings for Gremyachenskiy GOK. More than 60000 tones of lining plates have been manufactured and delivered in the last five years. Our production equipment capacity allows us to manufacture 7000 tones of cast iron lining plates a month of any unit size.
Cast iron rings for subway and tunnels
The manufacture of cast iron tunnel and shaft lining rings is one of the core competencies of our company. It began in 1935 when the first order for cast iron tunnel lining rings for Moscow subway tunnels was placed. Soon after, the iron foundry was put into operation to increase production of lining plates. We have mastered the manufacturing of ductile iron lining plates with specified structure and physical properties and wall thickness of up to 130 mm. More than 500 000 tones of cast iron lining plates have been manufactured and delivered to our customers in the last twenty five years. In accordance with the customer’s specifications, tunnel lining rings of any diameter and wall thickness of up to 130 mm made from any cast iron grade GG20 to GGG60 can be designed and manufactured. Cast iron tunnel or shaft linings may be supplied with all types of hardware required (bolts, nuts, washers), cementation holes plugs, and sealing.
Subway third rail is a rigid contact wire, designed for sliding contact with the current collector of a rolling stock (electric locomotive, motor car).
Rails are manufactured in accordance with technical requirements developed by DTS under the process regulations set by the EVRAZ metallurgical manufacturing company. Low carbon M-grade rail steel is used for contact rail manufacturing, due to its low ohmic resistance. Rail profile testing ensures all rails pass specifications for chemical composition, dimensions and specific electrical resistance. Contact rail is manufactured in accordance with all government standards.
The main application of the third rail is in operation of underground railways in subway tunnels. In addition, contact rail is used in energy supplies for lifting and warehouse transporting devices, cableways, electric hoists, machine tools, lighting systems and similar hardware.
